Can you Drink Caffeine and CBD?
CBD and Caffeine? A better couple than coffee and cream! They actually complement each other so nicely! CBD actually binds to the same receptor as caffeine! Typically when we get tired, a hormone in our brain (called Adenosine) binds to a certain receptor called A2a. When that happens, that results in a “Digest and Rest” effect. The human body gets a signal to rest in order to facilitate digestion. Caffeine blocks that very receptor in order to upkeep energy and vitality. Surprisingly CBD binds to that same receptor and facilitates caffeine in the same way. At the same time, while blocking the A2a receptor it also slows down the absorption of caffeine which results in a prolonged effect!
One should be cautioned that this may enable one to drink more coffee throughout the day without the perils of anxiety which may result in staying up all night.
